Jeremiah's Journey is run by six Trustees, four of who are the original founders. They are responsible for overseeing the charity and ensuring it is operating correctly. They also, if they are able, provide training, facilitate the group programmes and attend fundraising events. All the support and energy they commit to the charity, they do so in a voluntary capacity:Dr Jacqui Stedmon, Principal Child Psychologist & Family Therapist (Clinical Director, Trustee, Founder Member)
Dr Sheila Cassidy, Psycho-oncologist (retired) and Psychotherapist (Chairman, Trustee, Founder Member)
Diana Maynard, Sargent Social Worker, retired, (Trustee, Founder Member)
Ann Tucker, Clinical Nurse Specialist (Trustee, Founder Member)
Pat Stapleton, Cancer Support Centre Supervisor (Trustee)
Helen Taylor, Primary School Teacher (Trustee)
Katja Berger, Work Experience
Katja - the German girl - recently helped us with organising events, copying thousands of posters, waiting at carparks to show people where to go, waiting for phone calls whilst nobody was in the office, selling raffle tickets at our events and running after people who might not have paid their entry fee. Therefore we gave her the opportunity to get to know many of our supporters and to spend a lot of time with us in our windowless toilet cupboard, where she helped with the banking and many other things. She visited the BBC Devon radio station, saw the annual Show of the Plymouth Lions Club, learned Salsa and became Sarah's brain. Most important she helped us very much to improve our website.
Voluntary Team Members
Jeremiah's Journey also has a wealth of volunteers, many of whom are professionals currently working with children in Social Work, Health and Education. They offer their time and skills to facilitate and assist with our group support programmes. We couldn't do it without them.
Fundraising Team
There are many individuals who volunteer their time and energy to run our charity shops and help out with fundraising events. See the friends of Jeremiah's Journey section for more details
