Easter Egg Hunt

Our fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt proved to be another eggciting afternoon for the Jeremiah's Journey familes.  Bob and his team at the Elisabeth Svendsden Donkey Sanctuary in Ivybridge welcomed us for the third year running.  The children enjoyed decorating cart rides with the donkeys out in the beautiful sunshine.  The donkeys patiently awaited their chance to be groomed.  Families keenly hunted for clues but noone was able to find the one that Sarah lost over the hedge!  There were also small eggs for people to decorate and put a secret message inside, inspired by Adam and his mum.  Nanny Izzy was on hand to man the tea bar.  The day ended with everyone receiving an egg and the Jeremiah's Journey children adopted 'Pooh' the donkey.

Children we help

Tom, aged 6, knew his daddy was poorly. One day he returned home from school to be told that daddy had died. Tom found it hard to understand what had happened to his dad. in the following weeks his teacher noticed that he was more angry than usual and fighting with his classmates. Tom came to a group and through meeting other children who had experienced something similar felt less alone. He also found a way to express his feelings which helped with his anger.
