Salsa Party [April 2008]
The Salsa party provided a chance for Cleopatra, pirates, doctors and nurses to let their hair down and salsa the night away! With a lesson for beginners and prize for best fancy dress the evening was enjoyed by all. Rob Frost was on hand to capture the evening with his professional photography. There was plenty of room to dance at the venue supplied by St. Mellion. The evening was a huge success and raised over £1100!

Charity Ride-out [March 2008]
The Plymouth Motorcycle Club are keen supporters of Jeremiah's Journey. On Easter Sunday the weather wasn’t good at all but that didn't stop over 70 bikes riding from Lee Mill to St. Budeaux. When they arrived at the destination hot tea and burgers were very welcome. The ride-out raised over £450 which was split between us and the British Heart Foundation. The next ride will take place in July when we will hope to have very nice, sunny weather (see calender of events). We greatly appreciate the support of the Plymouth Motorcycle Club and we would like to thank all the volunteers who stood around in the cold!
Oceana Exeter [Sept 2007] & Business League Show Plymouth [March 2008]
Both shows were important opportunities for Jeremiah's Journey to raise it's profile. We had a stand at both events. We are lucky enough to be the Business League’s Charity of the Year: thank you so much for choosing us. The Business Exchange and the Business League have been extremely supportive and have raised awareness of Jeremiah’s Journey across the business community.

Salsa Party [Nov. 2007]
Last year's Latin Dance Night was great. The event took place at the National Marine Aquarium and was organised by Hot Salsa, a company who runs popular Salsa classes and parties in and around Plymouth. As part of the evening they gave an introductory lesson to Salsa, enabling everyone to get up and dance! They also had demonstrations of other Latin dance styles by dancers from South America. The event was a complete sell out and a total of £1,740.00 was raised! I would like to say a very big thank you to Kevan & Irma from Hot Salsa and the National Marine Aquarium for their hard work and support in making this event so successful.
Jeremiah's Jungle Journey: Joanne and Sarah in Thailand [Nov. 2007]
Day One: Arrived at Bretonside Bus Station at 3.15 in the morning with our heavy rucksacks - this is it we are off! Although it was far too early in the morning to think about anything!
Day Two: After six hours on the coach and eleven hours on the plane we finally arrived in Bangkok. We were struck by the heat and the noise of the city. At least we had chance to get over the jet lag in fact we were the only two of the group to sleep through lunch!!! That evening we had chance to explore the bustling city and had our first taste of Thai Cuisine.

Jeremiah running the Plymouth Half Marathon [May 2007]
The half marathon in 2007 was a big success for Jeremiah's Journey. This was the first year we took part, we were very lucky to have 20 fantastic people running for us. We raised about £2400 and had a lot of fun even though the 13.25 miles were very exhausting for some of us. The weather was great and as long as you found someone to talk to on the way... I want to say thank you very much to all the people who ran for Jeremiah's Journey. We are going for the race again this year, because it was so successful last time we decided to get 50 Golden Bond places so that even more people can run for us.
