Ways of coping
Here are some of our ideas of things that have helped us to cope:
Watching my favourite movies
Cuddling my teddy bear
Using a punch bag
Playing football or rugby
Listening to music
Hitting a pillow or cushion
Throwing things
Visiting a special place for example the sea or the moors
Talking to photos
Stomping on cardboard boxes
Stress ball
Sit and have space to think on my own
Eating chocolate cake
Spending time with my pets
Talking about things to someone I trust instead of bottling it up
Identifying important objects so things that remind me of the person who died
